XchangeR Basement Fan
Ventilate Smelly, Musty Basements

Many homes have basements that are stale musty or smelly because of seasonal water issues, sump pits, floor drains or general lack of air exchange. The XchangeR Basement Fan is the economical and simple way to automatically ventilate your basement to eliminate odors and reduce humidity.

Adjustable dehumidistat and separate on/off switches for each of the quiet 90 CFM fans

Built in dampers with settable stop to prevent unwanted air from entering your home

Simple plug-in electrical (6' cords) and vary low power use

Installs through rim joist of 16" on center or greater floor joists

Available plug-in speed control (Model SCP)

Available ducting kit with 6" diffusers/intakes

Literature Instructions

Easily flip ONE or BOTH fans to have them*:

Exhaust musty air or air contaminated by wood off-gassing or radon
Supply fresh make up air
in tight homes or for stoves and fireplaces
Position one fan in each direction for balanced fresh air exchange

Accessories

DT2-6 Dual Pipe Adaptor
Use the DT2-6 kit so exhaust can be removed from outside the mechanical room if necessary. The DT2-6 can also be used to duct outside supply air to a room where the XCHANGER is not installed in.  (Flex duct not included).
SCP Speed Control
Use to turn inline fans on/off and to vary motor RPM.  Plug fan cord directly into speed control and speed control directly into outlet.

SCP Instructions

XCHANGERTM DT2-6 6” DUCT TAKE OFF KIT
WARNING: Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment
to prevent backdrafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those
published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and
Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
WARNING: Do not exhaust air from mechanical room unless makeup air is also supplied or equipment in mechanical room is sealed
combustion. Carbon monoxide poisoning may result. Use the DT2-6 kit so exhaust can be removed from outside the mechanical
room if necessary. The DT2-6 can also be used to duct air to a room where the XCHANGERTM is not installed in.
Disconnect power supply to fans and/or control when installing the DT2-6. Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or equipment damage.
